Shipping & Returns Policy Â
This Policy applies to purchases made from ABC Saddlery Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Shipping & Returns apply to the UK only.
- Order Processing and Dispatch
1.1. All orders are subject to stock availability and confirmation of payment.
1.2. We aim to dispatch orders as quickly as possible. We make every reasonable effort to dispatch items placed before 12:00pm Monday to Friday on the same working day if in stock. Otherwise when is reasonably feasible and as soon as stock becomes available.
1.3. Orders placed after 12:00pm, on Fridays, or on public holidays will be processed on the next working day.
1.4 Dispatch times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
1.5. The customer shall pay all Value Added Tax (VAT) or similar tax chargeable in respect of any goods supplied.
- Order Confirmation
2.1. After placing your order, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your order. This email does not constitute acceptance of your order. We will advise you if your order is out of stock and when the estimated delivery date will be.
- Amendments & Cancellations
3.1. Once an order has been placed, we are unable to amend or modify the order.
3.2. Customers are responsible for ensuring that all details provided at checkout (including delivery address and product selection) are correct before completing their purchase.
- Shipping Methods
4.1. Orders are sent via Royal Mail (standard class services) and where appropriate, DPD.
4.2. The courier used may vary depending on parcel size, weight, value, and destination.
4.3. Once dispatched, delivery is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant courier.
4.A. Free Local Delivery (Newmarket Area)
4A.1 We offer free standard delivery to addresses located within a 10-mile radius of Newmarket.
4A.2 Eligibility for free local delivery is determined solely by us based on the delivery postcode provided at checkout.
4A.3 We reserve the right to verify delivery addresses and to refuse free local delivery where an address falls outside the 10-mile radius.
4A.4 Where eligible, ABC Saddlery or their representatives will deliver free local delivery.
4A.5 Free local delivery applies to standard delivery services only and does not include expedited or special delivery options, unless otherwise stated.
4A.6 We reserve the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw this free local delivery offer at any time without prior notice.
- Delivery Times & Liability
5.1. Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only.
5.2. While we take reasonable steps to ensure timely delivery, we cannot guarantee delivery dates or times.
5.3. We shall not be liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather conditions
- Postal or courier service disruption
- Industrial action
- Public holidays
- Force majeure events
5.4. Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to the address provided in your order.
5.5. If the customer does not take delivery once dispatched, ABC Saddlery Ltd shall be deemed to have performed its obligations and the customer will have to pay for any additional expenses that may incur.
- Faulty or Damaged Goods
6.1. If you receive a faulty or damaged item, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
6.2. Where a product is confirmed as faulty, we will offer a replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
- Return Shipping Costs
7.1. Unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
7.2. We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot be held responsible for returns lost in transit.
- Refunds
8.1. Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the outcome.
8.2. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days.
8.3. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed fault.
- Non-Returnable Items
The right to cancel does not apply to:
- Personalised or custom-made goods
- Perishable goods
- Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons, if unsealed.
Unless such goods are faulty.
